Mid-Atlantic Retro-Computing Hobbyists

MARCH Governance

MISSION:

To preserve computing history through education, outreach, conservation, and restoration. We strive to accomplish this through family friendly hands-on activities at our museum, at regional and global events, and by fostering and nurturing the expansion of our on-line and in-person communities.

What is the MARCH Committee?

MARCH is principally governed by a steering committee consisting of 5 members, one of which acting as chair. The committee is elected by the membership at large, and the committee then elects the chair to lead the committee. The committee is responsible for overseeing the operations of MARCH - ensuring that everything is done in the best interest of our membership, of Infoage, and towards achieving the goals laid out in our mission statement.

The MARCH committee appoints managers to directly administer certain areas of MARCH. The Managers act largely at their own discretion, but serve at the pleasure of the MARCH Committee, and are subject to their oversight and rulings.

Where is the MARCH Committee?

In cyber-space! And, weather permitting, meat-space as well! Our committee holds bi-monthly virtual meetings and communicates via electronic mail in order to keep MARCH going.
